Project Dog Days

SOME VERY EXCITING WAG NEWS!

On June 28 WAG volunteers will head to Guilford, CT to participate in an adoption event with our new rescue partners, Dog Days. This CT non-profit group puts on amazing events and get lots of dogs adopted - it's a privilege to be invited. We'll be taking 30 - 35 dogs with us - a great chance for dozens of homeless dogs to start a new life!

This is a big project and we're gonna need some help - especially people willing to foster a dog or two for about 6 weeks. We'll be transported by Jim and Terry Rodgers in their comfy shuttle bus with plenty of room for everybody (dogs, that is).

All dogs will be vetted before the transport, so there will be some cash outlay for us before the trip (always a challenge for a non-profit). Hopefully some sponsors will step up and help.

This is our second trip. We attended another type of CT event several years ago and it was an AMAZING experience to see people lined up anxiously waiting to adopt the medium-sized or big dogs that wait months to find homes here in GA. Hoping for similar results this time. Dogs Days has experience hosting these events and we hear very good things about them.

There's plenty of work to do and dogs to rescue between now and then. Watch our page/site for some pictures of lucky dogs who snag a ticket on the bus headed north!

Woo Hoo!!
